Welcome to my blog, Camels and Cottages!
Here you’ll find newsy little slices of my life, both in Morocco and in Canada. Maybe other stuff, if the spirit moves.
I started this blog primarily as a way to keep friends and family up-to-date with what’s happening with me now that I spend roughly half the year outside of Canada. I’m notoriously bad at maintaining those conversations and can never remember who I’ve told what. Some of you may think I’ve dropped off the face of the planet. Others wish I’d stop repeating myself, lol.
I want to keep the news in one place. Easier for me, easier for you.
I also need an easy way to share pictures with everyone. Life is pretty different in Morocco, especially living in the Sahara Desert, so the pics are really important.
This blog should address some of those issues. You may get an email notification whenever I post anything new (if I can get it to work – by no means a sure thing as I am NOT very tech-savvy). You can read the bits that catch your interest at your leisure.
I certainly won’t be posting every day, but now that the blog is finally up and running, I’ll try to do frequent short updates with fresh pics.
Periodically, I’ll do longer posts about interesting aspects of life here in Morocco. Once I’m back in Canada for the warmer months, I’ll share what life is like living in a state of constant renovation at the cottage. (Beach? What beach? LOL).
I’m not selling anything or trying to make money from this blog, so you shouldn’t have to contend with any irritating pop-ups, just my irritating, rather verbose writing style LOL. Pithy I’m not. I write how I talk and once I get going, it’s hard to shut me up.
If you want to know more about how I got to this point in my life, check out the About Me page. Grab a cuppa first; it’s a bit of a long read 🙂
I hope you enjoy my blog! Feel free to comment or send me an email. I promise to answer.
Oh, I loved reading your blog, Jenn! What a contrast in your two lives!
I look forward to reading more and seeing more pics…of both your abodes!
Take care and Merry Christmas!
